couldnt find this anywhere in search so figure someone should know tongue.gif where are the safe jacking points for the 00-01 tib? where i used one of those rolling jacks (those bigger ones) i jacked it up under the suspension ball looking thing, where the suspension arms connect to the frame.

now... why i asked this is i noticed that there arnt really any points to jack the car at with the little tiny jack from the trunk which are close to the edge of the car (for safety reasons too) like if you have a flat for example

REAR: I use the tow hook. Make sure it's on the center of the jack, you don't want it slipping off. Double check for sturdiness.

Sides: behind the front wheels, about where the door hinges are. Put the jack between the two notches under the car.

Front: I use the flat plate that's under there.

If you EVER jack it up and the car is wobbling or not sturdy... rejack it somewhere else.
At NOPI Nats we saw what can happen when you jack up the Tib and it isn't in the right spot. The guy with the orange Ixion kit (maybe it was Cuda?) had the car fall on him while working on the alternator. Not a pretty site, but he was okay.

I think you can jack up front under the lower suspension arms and rear you can jack up under the strut.

do not forget to secure it!

i put the jack in the front between the two bolts located right in front of the tow hook. It's a flat area and what I always use

Actually, after working on my wife's tib this weekend, I realized we need this.

Someone please do a DIY with photos of the areas you should use for jacks.

Maybe with the jack shown in the pic.

It'd be nice to have a listing with pics of places you can jack up the stock jack and aftermarket hydraulic ones.

there's 6 safe jack points on the vehical... the rear tow is NOT one of them. right behind the rear tow on the cross member there are some notches that signify that this is a good point to lift the vehical. you can stick jack stands on the re-enforced steel area in front of the rear tires. the front of the vehical has a crossmember with similar notches. you can stick jack stands behind the front wheels. the vehical is not designed to be lifted from any area other then these speciffic points.....

I don't think hyundai authorizes that... maybe i'm wrong.
