When i put it in 1st gear and start to take off, the car feels like it wants to stall out, like it's got no oomph.
The RPMs drop 250 when the water pump kicks on and shakes the car.
My steering wheel is shaking more then usual.
Kinda a rough idle, it never did before.
When i shift gears, it sometimes coughs, looses power then gains it back again.
Above 2500RPM there is no noticable problem
I'm not throwing a CEL.
Someone help me.
I have a capacitor to protect my electrical system from my sterio system/power inverter.
46,000 miles on vehical.
Spark plugs have 10,000 miles on them
CAI cleaned, 5,000 miles
Fuel filter, 1,000 miles
oil change, 1,000 miles
break pads/rotor turn, 2 miles

first off.. the water pump is engine driven.. when the engine is turning over, so is the water pump. You are thinking of the cooling fans.
How is your battery and charging system. Depending on how discharged the battery is, the alternator can put a LOT of drain on the engine. If the battery is near dead, then it is putting a nice strain on the engine.. expecially at idle when it does not have a lot of power to waste running things like the alternator.
Another question.. are you running your system when this happens?

my car runs at 14.3-12.9volts depending on what i have running. battery sits at 12.6V car off. I think the electrical system is good. It's something else.
It's kind of like it takes too long to compensate for changes in the load on the engine.
When i turn on my AC it drops RPM, then when i turn it off, it drops RPM again.
I just tried cleaning my MAF with contact cleaner and ECU reset. no change.

First thing I'd check is that your MAF is installed facing the correct direction.

That's excactly what it sounds like.
Second. I wouldn't clean your MAF with contact cleaner. Who knows what you might do to it. Check your MAF connections and make sure they are clean and tight.
The usual question however...
What have you done to your car recently?

When I tap my gas pedal lightly, I lose 100-200 rpms for a second, the engine sounds like its dying and then it bounces back to life.
If I tap repeatedly, it happens repeatedly. But it ONLY happens when I tap. Steady application of throttle/ driving does nothing.
Same thing?
Response: Casper, I've never experienced it in any of my other cars. Is it specific to this engine?

no, my MAF is on right. Although, now damaged because i was f***ing around with it today... damnit! No drivability issues, just a CEL.... Now i've gotta go play dumb at the dealer i guess lmao.gif ... any ideas?
Any other suggestions?......... after getting MAF fixed....
It's just running sucky. it is AWESOME after ECU reset, then it just kinda settles down after 2nd drive cycle is over.
