What is that whistle sound that comes from the cars in the fast and the furious when their rpms drop..i think thats when it happens after he revs its liek this vroom vroooom *whistle as rpms drop*

it is BOV (Blow Off Valve)

It is used on forced induction engines to drop boost when you close throttle.

 

dammit. i dont want to have turbo my car....i liek that sound..but its not a BOV btw. a bov is a whoosh.

 

not all bov sound the same

 

there are ultra sonic BOV, that have very high pitched sound.

you can put a CAI in your car, and when you will hit WOT after closed throttle you will have similar sound.

my friend hit his downpipe on something or other. Enough to nmake a slight hole there because of the impact it makes it kinda sound like a turboed car when he lets off the throtle. He did this by accident and is going to fix it if you want te sound use a turbo
