Hyundai says Beta head bolts may be re-used without limitation. If I recall correctly, they also say to torque them, then rotate them a specified number of degrees, then rotate again. There is a special tool to monitor the angle.

Never reused head bolts in my life.

I don't care what Hyundai says, not worth it to save less than $10

And the "specific number of degrees" is called a yield, just so you know

Do you change your shoelaces when you put your shoes on every time also? Unless you are running big boost, re-using stock head bolts is a perfectly sensible way to save a few dollars.

edit: maybe once or twice. It would give even me the heebie-jeebies to re-use stock head bolts like 5-10x but then I also can't think why I would have the head off that much.

I dug it out of Webtech back when I started the head work on my spare cylinder head many, many moons ago.

Installation instructions:

still looking for reuse specification . . . webtech not letting me in lately This is in a table on there somewhere, but here are two sites that copy/pasted it from the Hyundai TSB

Google did find MadJohn saying they use stock head bolts on high power builds in Korea

Personally I would NEVER reuse stretch-bolts. Never ever ever no matter who tells me otherwise. That's me though, do what you want.
