My buddy has a Mitsu Eclipse fuel rail and fuel pressure regulator to get rid of. The port spacing is the same, it's a 2.0 engine with slightly higher compression meaning it burns more gas so therefore would probly flow better.
I'm wondering what would happen if I replaced my Hyundai return style fuel rail with a Mitsubishi non-return style fuel rail then just plugged up the return line. Any ideas?

no, no, and no....
no point in swapping the fuel rails...
no point in even attempting to run a non-return type system.
to put it in simple terms.. return system > returnless system in every way..
and the stock beta rail can flow more hp than probably any beta that exists in the US today.

Dude, do some fluid flow calculations, I doubt your car has even more than 200whp, and thats with "boost".
Our stock rails can easily support 300whp. I think you got a lot more upgrading to do before you reach the rail as a bottle neck.

Ok, just wondering. He's trying to get rid of it and I personally think it looks better then my stocker. If it would be a downgrade then hells to da naw.
I'd estimate 225 ish crank HP with nitrous.
What is the downgrade in a non-return style fuel system?
Socks, did you mean 4 cyl engine instead of beta?

he means that the stock beta rail can flow enough fuel to feed even the most powerful beta engines around
btw i don't think higher compression means more fuel is going in, just that more power is extracted from the same mixture

This is not an extreme mod. This takes about 30 minutes and a foot of fuel hose. Parts are free.

Dude, seriously, can you give a reason? instead of saying, it's a downgrade, explain why it is a downgrade?
The only thing I've found on the internet is to keep aircraft fuel from boiling and vapor-locking at high altitudes.
With parts being free, this return line deletion would be akin to a spoiler or resonator deletion.
Why would it be a downgrade?

search more on the internet, you will find the answer.
parts being free, to downgrade is still stupid..
if someone gave me a free high end carb, i wouldn't go from EFI to CARB......
the only point of this 'downgrade mod' is so you could put it on your list of mods like your video ipod. i guarantee if you did and anyone who knew anything about fuel systems saw it, they would laugh at you.
