Relay Going Behind My Dash.
Ok, here is a tough one or so I think. The other night when driving home I could hear a clicking sound coming from the car. I turned the radio off, and turned off the heat and could hear a relay of some sort opening and closing from behind my dash. Everytime it would energize my clock would dim. I timed it and there was no set pattern and it was pretty random this went on for the 15 minute drive home. It was late and I figured i would look at it in the morning. Well the next day I was taking the car to work and it wasn't doing it so I forgot about it. 2 weeks later (yesterday) I was driving during the day, and heard the f*%kin relay again but this time my dash lights were flashing with the relay. This wasn't happening before i guess because the dash lights were already on. Any ideas???
Probably not the case, but i'll throw it out there.
I had something very similar happen after my accident, and what caused it was the alarm malfunctioning. I don't really know the details of what/why, but (from my understanding of how it was explained to me) until I had my hood fixed, whenever the car was running the alarm would think the vehicle was being broken into. Because of the bent hood I guess.
Did you notice if your marker lights were also flashing with the dash lights?
Alarm problems is the only experience i've had with a similar situation.
I'm sure someone else here might have some other ideas.

DRL relay is in the engine compartment and could be a possible culprit. But if the clicking IS in fact behind the dash, it's most likely alarm system related and probly a bad grounding.
