Well, running out of ideas.

1. Checked all the fuses - all seem fine. I changed all the high amp ones the other day that are hard to see into, all the normal smaller ones are fine. I can't see where this would be fused anywhere anyway in the sticky in the electrical forums.

2. Followed the wiring back to the harness a few feet, its fine, no cuts or breaks. Gave it a few tugs and none are loose. So the wiring seems fine.

3. Took off the turbo timer to see if how it was wired was messing with the reader's ability to connect. No go.

4. Tried multiple readers.

----

Only thing left that I've wired is the SMT-6, and none of those wires should have any interference with wires going to the reader I would I imagine.

Any ideas?

The B/ALARM fuse in the engine fusebox powers the reader plug. Check the fuse, and check pin 9 on the connector for constant 12v power at all times.

Just to cover the basics: I'm assuming you're all scanning with the key in the ignition in the "on" position, yes?

My OBD2 won't read unless my car is running.

Check pin 9 on the connector for +12v.
