I'm trying to figure out how I can get some better acceleration out of my tib. Here is a list of things I already have...

-4-2-1 Header + Cat back
-CAI from AEM
-Iradium plugs, plug wires

Thats about all the engine mods I have. I don't want to wrapp abunch of money in it. I just want to get some better get up and go... just acceleration. The tibby has decent bottom end already. What can I do for a reasonable price... MSD Ignition? Voltage Stabilizer? Fuel rail? Throttle Body? Intake Manifold? Anything... clue me in...

pulleys would be nice.only intake manifold we have available is 600 i think and its out of stock right now i believe. like i said in your other thread 1.8l intake cam would help with some power but not acceleration as much

Just change the wheels. IDK how heavy they are but they look over 30.

The pic I saw of your engine bay didn't have a AEM cai in it. It had a cone filter on the MAF. is that changed?

The best things you could do for your acceleration are...

1. Swap from auto to manual.

2. Get rid of the heavy ass shit in your car. LOL Heavy rims, heavy gut, ect.

3. Get quality parts. Iridium plugs aren't the best for us, and I don't know what kind of plug wires you have, but get the BEST made for us on anything you can. Skimping doesn't help.

4. New springs/struts. You'll squat less and more of your power will go into your wheels instead of your suspension.

5. Pulleys. Ark Performance has a full set of pulleys for us.

Each one, one at a time, isn't going to help a TON, but combined, you'll be happy.

Also, all the questions you've asked in other threads are related, and you'll see the same answers. Please use the search function, as our site has been here for 3 years, a lot of info has been posted, and the same questions have been asked dozens of times.

I now have the AEM cai on it. It was just a cone before. But, Ya know, I'f I get rid of my big chrome wheels an dput some light racing wheels on it, take out my stereo, lose all of the un-needed stuff and add some pulleys... I really don't think I'll be happy with the difference... Woo hoo! I can get off the line a bit quicker! Now I have no good stereo in my car, my tv's are gone and when I cruise past the car next to me, my chrome isn't blingin in the reflection anymore...? I'm really going for the show look. I don't really care to much for it to be fast. My wife has a 2000 Tibby that I can make go fast if I want to. I just want to get a bit more gitty up out of it, that's all. I'm not trying to get alot, just something noticeable. Thanks for the information though!!!
