I am trying to find out the purpose of these on the top of the side engine mounts. I took the one on the left off and it is very heavy.

No, not the MOUNT, There is like a weight on top of the mount. It does nothing.

You dumbasses, nobody said a thing about what he was asking. I think its a harmonic stabilizer? Dont ask me what that is, but I guess it just helps mounts somehow? Could be wrong on both counts, but thats my shot. I dont have em anymore so I'm curious as well.

Thanks Black..... That is why I love this site. I posted this less than an hour ago and already have 4 replies. On HP.com, it would thake like 5 days

But I took the left one off and noticed no difference. My mounts are beat up anyway. I want to take the right one off, but it is welded on. Need an extension cord for the grinder.....

What he said vibration dampeners. Keeps the vibration down so it causes less wear on your engine mounts.

OH yeah, the one on the "left" that you took off,( I'm guessing you're looking from the front of the car into the engine, like in the picture) which is passenger side comes separate, but the driver's side one comes with the mount. Good luck getting it off, not sure why the hell you want to in the first place
