So if CVVT can be turned off, and form my understanding, CVVT and boost have not been too c lose of friends at high rpms, could you technically controll CVVT with a switch and have it cut out or rather, turn it on for more power? however t hat may work out tobe...

not a switch. From what I've read about CVVT, it is controlled by engine temperature, time and RPM. If you lower the reading from your coolant sensor, it change the way it works. There is a patent out there for a box which controls CVVT using the engine temperature sensor.

Apparently CVVT does not work right with the engine oil cold, so it varries the way it operates. I don't know much about CVVT, just what i've posted.

a few years ago i found that site ..... you have there a great explantion on diffrent system our CVVT is similar to a VVT-i on toyota...

it's the cam timing that is adjust to give more or less advance when you need or don't need it .... so when you cruise on highway you need less... so better gaz millage...

VTEC or VVTL-i is like having 2 set of cam in one engine 2 diffrent lift and duration on 1 camshaft wink1.gif

what i was wondering is i have HLA on my beta 1 is there anyway to but buket shmis other than swap heads ??
