they change the voltage so that it says its getting colder air, adding more fuel, and they dont work wortha crap. i actually think theres a thread devoted to things NOT to buy and thats in it

lol np man. but yea, they are bad. in some cases they are literally no more than a resistor that they make u jam in the plug

one word - CRAP

usualy they use resistor so that ECU think that engine sucks in colder air, so ECU riches a bit mixture.

But our cars run rich from factory, you will not see a difference.

if anything.. your only benefit would be decreased performance and increased gas consumption.. eventually leading to a clogged cat from all the excess fuel burning in it and melting the platinum honeycomb core

It's a 4.7K ohm resistor. you can buy 5 of them for $1 at radioshack. Try it out. Dyno it. I butt dyno'd one to no real final results.

How about you do a search, I guess everyone's goin easy on ya because you're new wink1.gif
ALWAYS, before you post, search it. About 50% of the time you will find the answer you're looking for because someone has asked it before you, and it will only take you 5 minutes that way rather than making a new topic and waiting an hour or so for a reply (actually, with this site its more like 15 mins or so and you get a bunch of replies lmao.gif we are all RDT geeks!)
