Alpine does not have a power chip per se. They sell the "uni-chip".
It can offer performance gains...in theory. However both USA Spec cars they have tried to tune, they have done a HORRIBLE job with it.
Also, you cannot tune the uni-chip yourself, you must go to an authorized uni-chip tuner/dealer. They charge $500 for the initial tuning, and about $150-$300 for each session after that for every modification you do.
In my opinon, wait till you get a few mods, then get an S-AFC and have it Dyno tuned. Much cheaper and much easier to tune...plus you can adjust it yourself, but inital tuning should be done on a dyno...but the cost is only about $150-$300 for an inital S-AFC tuning session.
