I was tryin to find the solution by searchin this forum, but as usual i seem to be the biggest n00b and couldnt find wat i was looking for....
Well what i was thinking, my dad used to race wit cars and i have that "little boys dream" to do it aswel, so i was thinking about turning my RD1 into a curicuit racing car..
The thing that i need is the size of our pistons (diameter) and the lenght of the rods. If both dimmenstions are say 80mm and another one is close to 80mm (basicly they are both close) i can use the engine for modding, shave the head and etc..but if lets say the piston is 80mm and the rod is only 60mm long then the engine is not good for this type of thing as i wont be able to push it without killing it..
Thanks! and sorry if im double posting this.. sad.gif

2.0L
Bore
82 mm (3.228 in.)
Stroke
93.5 mm (3.681 in.)
1.8L
Bore
82 mm (3.228 in.)
Stroke
85 mm (3.346 in.)
hmm..looks like 1.8 would be easier to make the power with..But ill see how i go with all this..But i would still be down by a lot with this power, compared to Integra Type-R 1.8L that has 150kw stock sad.gif

As it seems the trend to quote our buddy Corkey Bell here, a fave quote:
"Horsepower sells cars. Torque wins races."
I just read that book for the third time as I'm bored at college. lmao.gif

/\ yah i say that alot
for example teh new civic Si
whats the power? 197 hp, sounds nice.
But whats the torque? 139 ft*lbs. ouch.
Well where are the figures found on teh rpm band?
7800 and 6100 respectively, big ouch.
------------------------------------------
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (faithofadragon)</div><div class='quotemain'>yup 150kw of hp...and 80kw of torque..</div>
Kw is a unit of power; as well as hp is a unit of power; so saying 150 kw of hp doesnt really make sense lmao.
also, kw cant be used as a unit of torque, as its a unit of power. youd have to use N*M; and the teggy type-R has 130 ft*lbs torque (which is 176 n*m) and it has 190 whp (which is 145 kw)
So.... lets just talk in hp and ft*lbs, lol, its just so much more familiar to Americans

hehe..yeah hp is not that different to me, but wit ft*lbs...NOOO!=DD
Thats what ive found out about our cars (that web is pretty bs but the power figures are right):
Power 102kW @ 6000rpm
Torque 180Nm @ 4800rpm-4800rpm
The funny bit is here: "Acceleration 0-100Km/h 11 secs" =DD and this is on manual when u look at auto it says 10secs..so this figure is deff not right laugh.gif
Are the top figures right? =)
