hey everyone,

i just bought myself a 2001 automatic tib completely stock for $6,400

i wanna put a body kit on it and some tint

but im not sure what to do with the performance, i dont have a high budget so im not looking to dump tons of money into this yet. remember, its automatic so i dont want to go all out. few of my freinds said get a nice cold air intake and a racing chip and i will be fine but im not sure.

if i could get some inputs on what to do id really appreciate it,

thanks

well the best mod you can do to really feel what your engine is capable of is the tranny swap, manual trannys are simply better for the transfer of power to the wheels. but umm... you dont really wanna spend that much on it so.... i dunno.

Automatic transmissions are terrible in a tiburon. Your best performance mod right now is a manual tranny. Use the search feature.

i agree, the auto tib's are just insanely slow. swap it to a manual, and you probably will be happy enough with just the power gain from the auto ...

roughly, about how much would it cost to do a tranny swap to a manual?

Okay, thread closed. As told, use the search button, look around the site, chances are, with 8000 members and 4 years of service, your questions, as noobish as they is, have probably been asked, and answered, a few hundred times.
