SO other than that there is no other spot in the engine to grab an oil pressure reading from??? What about somewhere higher??

Why would you want to go someplace higher on the engine? There is a restrictor in the head that lowers the oilpressure some, so you will not get a proper reading from anywhere but on the block. As that is where the factory decided to get the oil pressure readings from, it is probably the best place.

Good point.

I was just thinking more in terms of feeding oil to the head. If there is a problem with oil pressure I was thinking that is where you'd want to catch it. That's all.

i'm with arthur here. if it's there on the factory set up.... there's a reason for that. plus you shouldn't have to alter anything.

stock isn't always bad. hah

there may be an ounce of oil that leaks out as long as the engine is not running. I just put mine in, there will be little to no oil leakage
pictures on it installed the copper line runs stright to the t, mine is a mechanical
