Noob Needs Help with CAI Install
I took out the resonator and air duct using REDZMAN's DYI a few days ago, and now the CAI came in. Sadly its an eBay one that my sister ordered. Anyways, the CAI didnt come with instructions, so I looked at how some other cars' instructions said to do. Now I'm stumped...cant figure out where to go next.
Heres some pics of how far I got (not far at all just the stock assembly out and a little more) and whats left of what they sent me, to give you guys an idea where Im at:

Could you guys help me out with the rest? Thanks.

umm...ive nevr installed one on a tib yet, but it cant be that hard? Put it together, then attach it to the Intake Manifold.
edit: just saw the pics...attach the rest of the pipe to it, then attach the filter and put the hoses on

Yeah, thats what I thought, but I dont know what to do about the MAFS and the Air Temperature sensor, which slips in and out of the hole in the pipe really really loosely (ripped off by eBay?). And Im not sure where to mount the other piece of the pipe.
Does your car have a MAF sensor? If it does, you have to leave it in.
I'm thinking that this cai is meant to go from the MAF down to below the battery by 1st joining the long pipe with a bend at each end to the MAF, and then the short bent pipe to change direction to go out through the plastic gaurd below the battery.

wrong. although its not in his first pic, he has the intake that comes with the elbow. look at the semi installed part, it has all the nipples.
ok dude your right so far. connect the maf to the elbow you already have on, and then the rest of the intake to the maf. make sense?

HE HAS THE ONE THAT REPLACES THE ELBOW!!!!! he has it right so far. the maf had to come off, it just goes back on between the 2 pipes. its the injen knockoff i think, just a really crappy one
it's a 2001 tib.. in the US.. it has a MAF... yes, you need to leave the MAF in place.. make sure the arrow is pointing towards the intake manifold (it denotes the direction the air goes) and then hook the rest of the piping to it from there.
BTW.. you got a link to the ebay auction.. if there is a picture there of how it goes we can be of more help.
