Socks people running low 15 must be running nitrous of some kind. With stage 4 clutch, 8lbs fidanza flywheel, kspec motor mounts, nrg torque dampener, eibach springs, 93 octane, 8 psi boost, good launch, best time I did 15.4

 

no, OdessitPashka and the others in the 15 range were completely N/A with I/H/E and possibly 1.8L cam.



just because you can't do it, doesn't mean an experienced driver can't..



Ask anyone who is an old school Rd'er about OdessitPashka and they will tell you it was an N/A run, no nitrous or HUGE N/A mods.

Plus there is quite a bit of variation from car to car which can account for a lot.

 

He doesn't post here, but my best friend had two v6's. One a 6spd and the other a 5spd. 15.1 and 15.2 out of them. That is at sea level and the runs were in cold weather. The average run was 15.5 or so with zero mods, to include the stock air filter.



140hp vs. 170hp with a good bit more weight = stock delta not to much faster than a beta. Mods make that a different story.

Watch the video closely..he looses time because the light goes green..........................then he takes off. He lost .5 to .75 if not a full second due to the horrible reaction time. I think it shows his reaction time as .880 if I read the board right as he passes it. So subtract .880 from the 16.2 and you get 15.3 or 15.4

he also got quit a bit of wheel spin/hop by the shaking inside the car recorded on the camera. entirely possible that's a sub 15 second car with a good launch and a better Reaction time.
