I have a 98 Tiburon and I am wondering what kind of ignition box would be best for me. I hear that the MSD DIS-2 to box is good, but I have seen the SCI box for less money. Can I use the SCI box on my Tiburon?

No, you can not use the gray SCI box on a Tib. You must use the DIS-2 (MSD #6211) along with a tach adapter. The SCI/SCI+ boxes are just 6A and 6AL boxes with a paint job and a higher price.

I don't know but have u ever thought about putting in Nology wires or know anyone who has?</div>Please don't hijack this post. Please create your own post on a seperate topic like this.
Also I highly suggest you search the forums as the topic of plug wires, and brands has been beat to death. (including nology). Also check the for sale forums. You'll find some interesting comments there on Nology wires.
EDIT:
There is a thread 2-3 posts down from this one on the very subject you asked about

Hes right the SCI is meant for ignitions with distributors. You will need the MSD DIS-2 he meantioned. I think RED needed the tach adapter to make his work on my MAP beta the tach adapter was not needed. I am pretty sure you will need that tach adapter. I got one layin around here from my install you can have that for cheap. PM me if your interested. The ignition box really wont give you too much power but it will improve gas miliage a little and improve throttle responce a little. But the box is a must if thinking of going large turbo or nitrous. And NOLOGY wires suck.

Check out one of your local speed shops. Don't support the Internet whores like Jegs, Summit, JCW, etc. They only make it difficult for your local guys to feed their family and pay their bills. You will never get the level of service from the 'whores' that you would get from a local shop.
