What would be the point in this? What kind of gains would this give doing all this ? Ive never seen anything like this done so I figured I would post it on up>?

Wierd...wouldnt work in our cars anyway with the way the our transaxle is set up. I believe its on the opposite side than mitsubishi? But i have seen conversions to mitsubishi engines in RDs before.
Our heads were better than what the mitsu's came with. doesn't really help us cause the the mitsu motor/ trans sits opposite of our setup... not to say it can't be done. with enough time and money anything can be done.

Dont believe everything you see on ebay. That is a Mitsu block AND head. Nothing about that is Hyundai. Whatever childrens shop manual he read that out of is wrong.

That may not be a elantra head on that particular Mitsubishi engine, but Mitsubishi guys DO use Hyundai parts alot. My friend who owns a 00 Eclipse says he's heard of people taking elantra heads and swapping them. The purpose is to gain DOHC! Most Mitsu engines are SOHC. it gives a power boost.
yeah, nothing about that is HYUNDAI.. the head is DEFINATELY not a hyundai head.
and the heads that the MITSU guys MIGHT use are the older 2.4L sonota heads, not a elantra. the 4cyl mitsus are also 2.4L and share the same style head.
also, why do we call our engines the beta when the engine name is the SIRIUS?

nathan if your still looking for engines man come into town we can pick one up for cheaper then 400 everyday i keep telling you i know where to go man. they are new beta2 motors but you can still swap over the head/block and keep everything else off your motor. i think you might need a diffrent clutch but thats about it.
