Default Magnaflow catalytic converter - 23263 VS 50223

Hi all,

Looking to do some DIY mods on my 2001 tib before i head back to school. Which would be a better choice? I'm looking for more HP and possibly better MPG but i'm not trying to make my car sound like a ricer or some crappy Honda.

Magnaflow #23263 for $148 from Performance Peddler.

VS

Magnaflow #50223 for $313.70 from Performance Peddler.

Any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Andrew

In my opinion get a 4-2-1 and the standalone cat (the 1st one). It'll cost a little more than the single unit, but provide better response.

Define "street legal", where are you located?

There aren't any carb exempt headers for the Rd1 & 2! But I highly recommend the Megan Equal Length Headers because they're a direct replacement of your stock headers and cat....plus they look badass and sound great.

I don't recommend anything made by Megan or OBX. Chinese crap.

Used stuff that's not Chinese crap. Find a used HVE header. Or, find a guy with a TIG and have one made out of stainless that's not so thin it cracks under it's own weight like the Megan header my buddy bought for his Integra.
