what exactly is seafoam? you didn't get a ticket did you? creating a road hazard, maybe lol.
...nice work man, hoping to get some sound clips. if you haven't already, definitely get those headers ceramic coated or they will rust to hell.</div> Yeah, I did it with a 3/8" drive breaker bar. A short one, because I went to a few stores and they only had ones the same size as my socket wrench. I'm like... well if i break this at least i'm just out a breaker bar. If i broke a socket wrench, i'd be pissed.
Seafoam is this solvent recommended to me by RDT members. It smells like it's alcohol based, but it has the consistancy of about 5W oil or so. You pour it into your intake manifold by way of any line you can. I used the PCV, the idle control line, the butterfly and the breather with the throttle opened so it didn't just drain back down into my air filter. It worked well.
No i didn't get a ticket. The smoke plume just sorta hung out for a while and then drifted into the road still in a massive clump. The officer drove right through it and then came to me.

At least there's no finger prints on it. It's a SSA style, but it's JDMMotors. I believe it to be a different maker alltogether, but who knows...

Lookin good man, good to see I wasn't the only person to be working all day on their car.
BTW, I now have some new pics to put up, to show, once and for all, that catch cans ROCK. Before and after pics of my Airram with 6 months of driving with both lines to my catch can.
I'll put up a thread tomorrow with them and all the other stuff I did today.

what the heck are air tools? wink1.gif
i did all my mods without any air tools or anything like that, including the whole turbo install, and i had NY winter-treated nuts, they were what you call rust-welded.
And yeah, when you dont use air tools there are casualties, ive definatly lost my fair share of blood and flesh working on my car and other cars.
but anywho - looks great! i agree with socks, just need to polish up the IM or get an airram and that engine will be perfect.
Too bad the headers wont stay that shiny.
good stuff fing02.gif

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (DrivingTibNaked @ Feb 11 2007, 09:51 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>^^ sweet did u get the pix? Are you as sore as I am all over?</div>
Pics of the ATH? Yes, I'll put them up tomorrow. I'm sorer. 80% disabled + working on your car all day X bending over the engine bay / working on the floor [working on the plugs behind the dash] = One sore REDZMAN.
I'm glad I'm losing weight and working out, otherwise I'd be in a wheelchair. LOL

about the seafoam..you start your car and then just pull these hoses off one by one and start pouring the seafoam in?
those headers look real nice..mine look so nasty, i didn't realize you had to wipe them down before you started the car the first time, i have colors and stains all over em. 02.gif wish there was somethin i could do to polish em up again.
i've done every mod without a garage, and with a set of wal-mart hand tools. this includes i/h/e/bbtb/airram...quit your whinin wink1.gif

good stuff fing02.gif</div> I've put my share of flesh and blood in my car, but nothing really big this time aside from a few minor cuts on my fingers. I treated my kansas cold welding with some liquid wrench. Someone needs to do a DIY on how to polish the IM. I wouldn't know where to start.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (rollwitstyle @ Feb 12 2007, 12:47 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>awesome lookin engine bay man i just did the same install with hand tools only also, it was fun lol. what paint did you use on the valve cover? it looks so hot lol. fing02.gif</div> Thanks. It's right next to chem-tool at most parts stores. Depending on the material your header is made of, you can find some polishing compound for them. Not sure, but i know there's a way to polish stainless. Of course, it will probly still be slightly discolored when you get done.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (tiburon354 @ Feb 12 2007, 06:37 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>hey, nice job man. looking forward to seeing the videos.</div> Me too.
