A Little Tibbymat Update

Hey guys! Its been a long time since i have been on here. I do check from time to time to see if anything crazy is going on. Well i have been extremely busy these days. Me and a good friend of mine have working for the last year to start up a car accessory, detailing and electronics shop here in the city of Edmonton alberta canada. My friend already has a well extablished shop here that has been running strong for 3 years so it wasnt just a drunken night of brainstorming that is gonna send us into a downward spiral of failure. lol
but with all of this going on i havent had much time for the car. But the company is now established, we are just waiting for the contractor,lawyers and realtor to do their thing to get the shop some walls and a parking lot. so now the weight has been lifted off of my shoulders. (kind of) But just last week i had taken my car to the shop i work at right now and i completely GUTTED the car of the stereo in hopes to create a much smaller and simpler looking design. well after gutting it and looking at it and putting it all back to a stock trunk i have decided to keep it that way. i took the car back home and tucked it back in the corner in my garage. no plans this summer to do anything with it or even drive it. Come winter time tho, im gonna start my build!
YES! I have decided that i want to own the fastest tiburon out there. So i will be gutting the interior and aiming towards a HUGE engine build, wire tuck, engine bay re finnishing and whatever i can think of to make this the talk of the town. its more of an investment to my business than anything but i always wanted to do this at heart. as much as i love audio im leaving that to my 09 fusion i had recently bought.
so let me know what you think. any ideas for the motor, any ideas for weight reduction, anything at all you care to share i am all ears and i hope that by summer 2011 i hope to be at the track dropping jaws with not only a good looking tiburon but a fast one to boot!

You have helped me a TON in the past with ideas that i still have in my scrap book for the motor build. which i am taking all into plan. but i am gonna step it up a few notches. you are my primary contact and i will be looking in your direction for help, simply because you seem to know what you are talking about! you will be credited for all the help you have provided and hopefully will provide in the near Future!
a little info about the company we have started. Its called Teknique Auto Innovations Inc. we will start off as a 12 volt electroniocs shop (remote starters, alarms, audio, video and custom fabrications) as well as rims and tires, tint, rockguard, undercoating, Detailing of every aspect. Retail for performance parts and accessories. And when thinks kick off we will be ready to start doing work on the performance side. The main goal is to be the 1 stop shop for all auto and marine needs from body work, accessories, engine mods, you name it! things are getting very exciting because we are not too far from opening the doors.

Good luck man. Will be interesting to see where you go with your car and im looking forward to seeing the build.
Good luck with the shop as well. I should be opening an actual shop in the next year hopefully. For now its just tuning out of my garage.

On topic, good luck with the business man. I'm working in the same sort of shop at the moment, not doing too bad. Any word of advice I'd have is not to get into too much at once, keep it simple and your work tight!

That sounds like a nice plan... We as well do a lot performance stuff on the side in Vancouver, BC. Oh, we could supply you with with some items, especially HID Conversion kits. My brother is living in Calgary at the moment and he is installing them and selling them like pancakes.

Good luck Matt! Im moving to Edmonton this Summer. Im not sure if ill have my tiburon or not (still not sure if im fixing it or parting out), but I cant wait to see your car in person. I hope it becomes the fastest tib around. It will change peoples view of them around Edmonton at least lol. And hopefully you can put a bunch of the spoiled guys from Fort Mac in their place when they come down. They'll see that its not "just a hyundai" lol. Let me know when u get the shop open. Ill forsure drop by. Are you going to be using your car for the poster advertising car for the company?
