K&N Oil Filter Part# for Beta 2.0L??
I bought a couple of K&N oil filters today. The part number is HP-1004, according to the K&N site this filter will work with 1.8L and the 2.0L. I thought that the 1.8L and 2.0L used different filters. Anyone have a part number of a K&N filter they have used on their Beta 1 2.0L??(which is what I have) Just wanted to confirm that this filter will fit properly before I try using it. Thanks!!

1. Where do you pick these up?
2. What is the difference in size or quality compared to Fram filters?
3. How much?

Picked them up at Canadian Tire, might have a problem finding one around your neck of the woods he he. I'm from Canada eh?? laugh.gif
I really don't have a Fram filter to compare these filters to. Here is a link to the features of the K&N filter:http://www.knfilters.com/oilfilter.htm
They cost me $12.74CAD each on sale, normally they are $16.99CAD each.

Well anything is better than Fram. Fram is on the bottom of the crap list. Before I started with the K&N filter I used PureOne. Compared to a Fram filter the PureOne is about twice as heavy and a little bigger. The K&N compared to the PureOne is about 3 times heavier and again about a quarter bigger.
When the oil I use costs $4.99 per quart for 6k miles a $9.95 filter seems to make more sense than a $4.99 PureOne or a $3.00 (I think) Fram.

Each time I have changed to a different type of filter I did basically that same thing. Buy one and try it. There isn't really any other way for you to be able to know if it is worth it or not. Just cause one person swears by it definatly does not mean you will like it better.
I would jet get one and try it. If you like it then go from there! If not you are only out what $5?
