again "i think" (if i remember right) that the timing mark covered up by the valve cover. heres what i mean for example. not really great, but i'm pretty sure the valve cover is in the way of the timing mark, thus the need for replacing the valve cover gasket.

from hmaservice.com, the knock pin that you see at the top middle of the cam sprocket is where you can see through to see the timing mark i believe.

Because it's a KIT kspec sells, it comes with LOTS of stuff to replace. Technically you don't HAVE to replace the accessory belts on a timing belt swap either. It's just a recommended replacement and comes with the kit....

Yeah, I'm looking into a valve cover gasket right now. I'm getting the stuff installed in two weeks so i figured i had plenty of time to look for it. Thanks for all the input though. you guys rule hardcore.
