Hi guys, i know ive been MIA... just a lot of stuff going on.

Anyways
Three days ago... my power windows stopped working. Both sides. No up, no down (the lock was off).
Neither side worked, regardless of which control i used (passengers or drivers).

Turns out the relay in the door wasnt getting any juice except to light up the window switches.

I found out this relay was blown.

So i head down to autozone and replace it..

GREAT.. now it works.

Today in the morning i drive to work only to realize i cant roll down my window.

I checked the dam fuse 20 min ago and its fine.

Can someone tell me what that fuse controls? My fuse cover was painted over due to damage from an exploding battery. So i have no clue what exactly what that fuse controls. Can someone tell me?

The fuse works fine now, but the windows are not getting any juice.

I checked internal fuse (by the clutch pedal), i think its number 16 (bottom right), and it looked fine.

Does anyone have a clue as to what piece of shit fuse it is?

My headlights, turning signals, dash lights, and stereo work fine.

Thanx guys

you need to recheck the relay, and make sure there's no obstructions inside the switches which may be causing electrical problems. Open the bad boys up and look. May be a shorted wire inside the door.

pink relay: power windows

is there anything else that's not working? Cruise Control or Fog/Head lights?

dam!

Those two fuses are fine though.. i wonder why im not getting any juice at all...

Cruise control was trashed when i switched to the 01 dash. Its not even hooked up.

A/c Is not hooked up either.

HEadlights work fine
turning signals work fine

dash works fine

I really didnt pay attention to check if the dome light was fine.
Stereo is fine.

Hmmm.. i dont know what i have the neons hooked up to, but ill check them today.

Is there any other fuse that could be related?

Thanx a lot majik.. that was exactly what i was looking for.

When i get home, ill check to see if im getting voltage where both fuses are at. Hopefully that will help narrow down the possible problem area.

rip off the door panel, maybe the plug came loose or there's a loose wire somewhere only letting some of the electrical current pass through. Tap the window lock and make sure it's not stuck.

I checked the cable coming from the car to the door. No voltage...

This was BEFORE i found out the busted fuse in the engine bay though.

I also ripped off the relay/switch box... so the cables are tight.

The lock will also only affect the passengers side. Either way, for the sake of the argument i switched on a off without any success.

I am guessing i have a coroded ass wire somewhere. Tonight i should get a better idea once i start checking for voltage.
This is the WORST time for shit like this to happen. Its freakin hot over here.
