Default Re: Not enough fuel

check your pcv valve...if your pcv valve is bad...it can (and usualy almost all the time) causes your engine to rev high...

fuel filter is located in the engine bay...it's a BI Tch to reach... anyways the fuel filter is on the return line so it should have anything to do with that.

here some pics where to find the pcv valve...aparently alot of people have a hard time finding it

to pull out the pcv valve you need an open end wrench(box wrench) or a deep socket... and it's threaded in... when you finally have it out... shake it...it'll make a rattling sound...if you hear the rattle it's good...if not...it's bad... get a new one.

also what yuo describe sounds almost normal...most cars will idle high when you start it... it's turning the alternator belt..recharing the battery from starting the car... also when you run your car hard... the fans are workin... and since fans draw voltage it can cause you car to rev higher so it can keep the alternator going to charge the battery.... your alternator ONLY kicks on at rpms higher than idle... at idle your alternator usually doesn't kick on unless it gets voltage drop from your battery[/img]

take this off and clean it with some brake fluid or gasoline, the inside of it of course, and let it dry for an hour, than put it back in. thie MIGHT work, if not try and get a used one at the junker because new its like 180 bux or so
