Hey whats up I just bought the IAT Resistor that makes the computer think its running lean so it will dump more fuel in. I was wondering if anyone has ever tried these and if they really make a difference? I bought it off ebay for $8 so its not a big dissapointment if it doesnt make a difference. If it makes a difference i bought it from a company called Tokyo Pop Motorworks.

well, for one dumping in more fuel is running RICH.

second off, $8 isn't bad, but it's $8 you could have saved had you researched around here a little bit. it's not going to do much. it's the same thing you could buy at radio shack for much less if you really wanted to try it out.

$8 is horrible considering one resistor costs like $0.05

Make our cars run richer? Havent searched much I see. Our cars run hella rich to start with. You make it worse and you probably be washing down your cyclinder walls......

I know the difference between running rich and lean. What i meant by that is....it makes it THINK(computer)its running lean which in turn will make it run rich. So should i run it or not....i was going to install it this weekend and see what it does. So are u suggesting i shouldnt use it?

Basically smile.gif . Like I said above our cars run veryvery rich stock. In actuality when people get an SAFC they tend to lean it out a bit to get max numbers (when on a mostly stock car) so I cant imagine giving it more gas would do anything but make you MPG go down.

Search my young man, search.

The problem is, you can make a car THINK whatever it wants, but if it adds more fuel, all you do is waste fuel. You need to add more AIR with that fuel to make power.

Belive us if you want to or not, but the proof is in the pudding, and some of us have been working on these cars for years. There is a REASON no one buys these things. They don't work.

Just be glad you only got ripped off for 8 bucks.

So if i get a CAI from ebay for like $50..it will...even it out....if thats what your trying to say..I would get a AEM but im a little short on $$$ so thats all i could really afford. So basically all intakes are similar. Correct? One just cost more than the other.
