I Need Some Answers About The 1.8l Cam.
Honestly, not many cars have the 1.8 cam "upgrade" in their 2.0. As for telling if you have one or not.. honestly, I do not remember seeing any identifying marks other than a number.. and I cannot recall what it was now.. I do have my 2.0 cam around.. tomorrow I can open it up and get the number off of that.

You look at the cam (You'll have to take it out), and find the #'s on it.
Yes, your local dealer can get them, they are about 200 bucks from the dealer.
Maybe more.
I'd suggest paypaling $109 to sales@kspec.com and asking for one instead.

You guys are lucky I do not throw away the parts I take off my cars unless they are broken...
on the box, I got a part number for the 1.8 cam
Part Number: 24100-23002
on the 2.0 cam itsef there are several numbers...
On the chain sprocket, facing out:
990409a
Molded into the cam on one side:
J-2 s in the middle and 3c is up by the chain sprocket
180 degrees out:
6 47 is in the middle and SI is near the chain sprocket
Hope that is a big help!

Hmm.
I'm confused.
My 1.8L cam I ordered is still in it's box.
Part # is 24100-23003 on the box and it says "Camshaft Assy-Intake"
I can't find it on Hyundai Parts.
The box also has the # 535986 on it.
The cam it's self says...
IS
28 5
J.2
4C
Any clues?
