I checked www.TODARacing.com and I couldn't find a 4-2-1 header for a Hyundai Platform...only for Hondas/Mazdas/Acura and such.

I still think I'm going OBX. 4-2-1s, a $350 value for $155.

UPDATE: Bought the OBX 4-2-1 Racing headers for the Tib for $187 shipped!

They should be arriving within a couple days...

Bah, stupid AudioJam asking price was $350, and I was outttt. ^__^

I'm excited to get my next bolt on installed, and I'm curious of the torque/hp increases.

How much do you think an exhaust shop will have this installed, for I'll have no idea what I'm doing if I attempted to install it myself? $50-70 perhaps?

an hour's worth of labor (that's 70 bucks around here) plus they'll have to mess with the o2 wires and make a new wiring harness to extend one wire to new hole in the OBX downpipe. I'd suggest doing your research and figuring out what you have to do w/ the two O2 sensors before going to a shop, that way you can tell them what to do and even go under the car with them and SHOW them instead of paying them for the hour it will take them to figure it out.

You'll have a CEL to live with too btw.

A bung shouldn't cost you much. This dosn't mean you will get a CEL, but you might. There have been members, including myself, that have CEL's from adding a new header, hopefully you won't get one.

You want the O2 sensor has to be after the 4 connect, they sell them with the O2 sensor bung where it can only sense one of the 4 cylinders

sorry, i didnt mean that toda made headers for Hyundais, i was only making a comparison as to the style of header they make to suit most applications including race motors which would be the 4-2-1 design.

I would like to say that headers by themselves will offer very nice power. I had 4-1 headers on stock exhaust and it shaved off .4 of a a 1/4mi comparing to stock exhaust, so header by itself offers very nice power.

If you plan on taking it to the shop they will charge you an arm and leg for it. $70 an hour and they say it's about 3-4 hours job. Morons! I swap my headers outside the house with regular tools in 45 minutes.
