i am looking for decent quality headers, which ones are good?

also, i have the motoria catback with test pipe now and i am

wondering if i get headers and eliminate the first cat, will i get an

engine light. even if i hook up both o2 sensors to the headers, will

i still get a cel becase of the different readings without the first main

converter...???

thanks

i have the shark racing 4-1 and i love it, i have no cats at all, and i have no check engine lights. i have herd of some people getting them so you really dont know until you do it. and if you do get one then all you have to do is buy a high flow cat for however much you can find one, and relocate the second o2 bung after the cat for like 20 at most at a muffler shop.

you dont have
to
type
like
this

there is a thing called word wrap. just type, it will line-break automatically for you.

anyway, your only options are either get the OBX/SSA ones on ebay, or the Maintec ones from seolfulracing. maintec's are much nicer, but come with a higher price tag as well.

if you want to avoid having a cel, place one o2 sensor before the cat, and one o2 sensor after the cat. you will need to buy a hi-flow cat and get it welded in, and also extend the wiring for the o2 sensors. please SEARCH as this topic has been discussed entirely too many times.

You won't get a CEL if you hook up O2 sensor 1 and leave O2 sensor 2 out in open air. cool.gif I did that for a week. It ran pretty rich though.

Either you can get the cheapo OBX or SSA headers for <$150 on eBay, or you can shell $400 on some maintech ones or something similar. Is it worth the extra $250? Not really. If you're after top quality, go for the maintech or something similar. Best bang for the buck, though is the OBX ones. There's not much HP difference between the two, sound would be a little better with maintech, and durability would be better too.

This has been discussed over and over again, just search for "headers" or "obx headers" or something similar. There's more information there than I could ever put forth in a week.
