Default Hydraulic engine mounts 2000 Tib

I know that the 2001+ Elantra and 2003 Tiburon I4's have the hydraulic engine mounts which helps reduce the engine vibration in the car. Would this be possible to get in the 2000 Tiburon which has rubber mounts? Do you think it would improve the harsh engine vibrations?

Also, on the new Beta engines are more refined with all these new counter-weight-whatevers, and ribbed engine block...does this effect the delivery of power to the wheels?

I don't see how the engine moving around in the engine bay would effect the torque transfer...from what I know the engine needs to have a bit of play, hence we have a flexible pipe after the catalytic converter to keep the exhaust pipe from snapping.

Solid engine mounts are going to vibrate your car to death. I just remember driving and Elantra GT and it was much smoother, and I know that it has hydrauic mounts and mine are just plain rubber.

okay, let's read this one slowly now.

If your engine is rotating itself what is rotating less?

If your engine is not rotating itself what is rotating more?

stiffer mounts = faster delivery of torque to the wheels.

That maybe so, but I dont think it will make much of a daily driver, your ass will be numb from all that vibration. hehehe

Solid engine mounts will transfer more NVH (noise, vibration, and Harshness) into the frame of the car, but not nearly as much as you would think. The suspension bushings still flex like crazy, and there is more road vibration than engine vibration.

OK, but I still need an answer to my origonal question...would hydrauic engine mounts fit and work to reduce the engine vibration?

I am talking about transferring Elantra engine mounts to the Tiburon.

Only if you have a 2003 Tibby, which would already have the new hydro mounts.

The beta mounts different in the new elantra and new tibby due to the new front subframe. you could not re-use those mounts without having that subframe, or doing some serious customization.
