Default HP of Beta Engine

Just wanted to know if someone knew that hp of a stock beta engine? I heard that we have 140 stock, but after learning that the accent only come with 90 or so, that like what the 88 honda civic came with. The one that honda sold with no air condition.

It just makes me think twice about what I was told the beta engine came with. So if anyone actually took time to dyno their beta engine before they started putting on mods, or if someone knows the real hp that we come with, then let me know.

Thanks.

Yeah that is what hyundai says, but I've heard that they lied about the hp for the cars, and I got plenty of e-mails when I bought my car for lawsuits against hyundai and stuff because the hp was a lie.

So I am just trying to figure out if it is true or not.

With a stock manual tranny 2.0L BETA usually making between 120 and 125whp, it's pretty sure that the BETA is making it's rated horsepower.

Remember that wheel horsepower and crank horsepower are two different things. Manufacturers rate their engine output at the flywheel; consumers rate their engine output at the tires.
