for it to cycle through all the systems? I have to get my car inspected (safety and emissions) this weekend and I unplugged my ECU last night after installing a new intake and throttle body to reset it.

Goto http://hmaservice.com and create a free account.

In the shop section they have the complete driving cycle that you have to run to get the ECU readiness checks to pass.

This.

It's not based on time. It's based on drive cycles.

Heres what I did and it worked.. I touched the negative and postitive of the batterys together.. Drove it for 53 miles and took it into my shop not knowing if it would work but the CEL didnt come on at 53 miles and I passed emissions. About 8 miles down the road the CEL came back on. Try what I did, it worked for me. Hope it helped.

BTW I have a 99 tiburon Idk if it will be different for your 2007

Jesus.

Don't EVER touch the positive and negative battery terminals together. I seriously hope that's not what you're really recommending.

Best way to do it is open up the under-hood fuse box and pull the ECU fuse, and the yellow "power connector" bar.

If you take the wires off of the battery terminals and touch the wires together that's fine. You just can never connect the battery terminals together with a wire or other metal object. You will get a nasty short, could cause a fire or even an explosion.

To reset your ECU you can take the negative battery cable off of the terminal and open the car's door (to turn on the dome light) and you'll be fine.
