by taking out the relay, you left an open in the circuit that is there to switch on the relay. you will have to figure out which leads on the relay are the ones to turn on the electromagnet inside, and then just run a wire from the place where one of the leads plugs in, to the lead plug in spot.

hmm...i really hope i didn't do this....
i put the relay back into place and everything's fine as before....
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (silvertibbs @ Oct 9 2005, 09:29 PM)</div><div class='quotemain'>Exactly. Just do that. Pull it up one notch so it doesn't actually lock the E-brake and you're cool. If you want you can turn just the parking lights on (first click on the headlight switch) Your headlights will be both off, and the parking lights will still be on.
That's the Handyman's way, I dunno about the tibby01 way, he's the master when it comes to that.

i guess that's a quick fix.
although what i ultimately want to do is this:
turn off dim high beams but leave corners+position lights on for DRL...!!

Holy crap I'm glad I read this thread. I wasn't having issues with my DRL, but was having an issue with my gauge lights and AC controls not lighting up. I'm betting this is the problem.......I swear I checked every friggin fuse in the car and all seemed fine and the one for the DRL is there. Guess I missed one. lol sad.gif

YES! i found out how to get rid of DRL!!!
when you remove the battery, there's a grey plastic box under the driver's side fender.
remove it, and unplug the wires on the bottom.
re-install the battery, and voila! your DRL is ALL GONE! yesssssss!!
