The idle prolem: When the clutch is pressed in or it is in neutral the idle is at around 950 rpm's but it drops to like 200 then shoots back up. It does this over and over but not all the time. Its becoming more frequent. Sometimes the rpm's will go so low it stalls.

Stuff in the crankcase:I switched from Quaker synthetic to penzoil platnum synthetic just for one oil change just trying out diffrent oils and i noticed there is a weird substance on the inside of the oil cap the best way to describe it is it looks like mustard. Is this a problem?

Generic answer: Have you checked your TPS... IAC.

As for the mustard looking substance that should just be condensation, just wipe it off and you'll be fine.

 

I dont know if this is a dumb Question or not but how do i check if the TPS and the IAC are working properly.
