Hey all ..

I did a quick search and found nothing, So i was wondering for the gens/gals that installed a header (obx / SSautocrhome) if you removed your Powersteering/beltieeees ..

Or did it junk yank off..

Thanks ..

I took off the ps pump as it made it much easier to get in there to both unbolt and rebolt the headers up.

INstead of opening a new thread i guess i should ask this too tongue.gif Did anyone try to install just the header? Minus New Downpipe and Cheapo Cat? that comes with an Obx / SSautoChrome?

I did and i ran 2 inches too long. The question is if i get the downpipe and cheapo cat that come with it will it bolt up to the stock exhaust?

Thanks ...

P.s I know some people just got there local muff shop to fix it .. Just wondering what you guys did ..

More then likely, you will have to cut your existing exhaust to get the header to work as well as enlongating your O2 sensor wires. But then again, I used a carsound cat and not the fake cat that comes with the OBX.

I removed two bolts and rotated the ps pump to get to the header bolt.

As for the downpipe and fake cat, They met up perfectly with my stock midpipe, and the downpipe had an O2 bung in it so I didn't lengthen the wires untill I put a real cat on a few weeks later.

hope this helps

i just loosened all three bolts, but didnt pull any of them out, didnt even loosen the p/s belt. also, instead of going through all the work of pulling the fans, i undid the top radiator mounts, and just pulled the assembly up a bit. believe me, thats is alot easier then messing with the fans.
