Yes yes, i did search first.
I know exhaust is expensive and people always go for the very basic cheap exhaust for their cars. What are the drawbacks in performance when installing these cheap exhaust and piping besides looking like crap?

i went to tuffy and they were the only people who would do an under axel for me at a decent rate. i got it for 220 but EVERY single weld leaked. i raised hell and they fixed it but now all the welds look shitty. so i guess when i get money together i'll just search around town or drive a lil around the state and find somewhere better.

I don't want a performance exhaust. I want to keep my car stock as much as I can. I like the stock beauty of my car.

I had Midas weld in a magnaflow cat for me, but they got the angles wrong and it didn't sit quite right. Had to take a hammer to it and adjust it a bit.
Just find a shop that knows what they're doing.

with a custom exhaust you get a tinny sound, when you use aluminized steel aka galvanized steel. the metal is thinner than say stainless steel setups
its like talking into a coffee can, then talking into one of your stainless steel cooking pots.
then alum. steel will eventually rust in about 3 years compared to a stainless which can last 10-15 years or more
but overall performance gains are equal is your using the same sizes
biggest thing is the sound, a resonant frequencies of the alum steel verse stainless steel

Aluminized steel doesn't rust easy at all. SOCKS has had his exhaust made with thta for some time, no rusting at all, and that's in friggin Detroit.
Monza Exhausts?
The pacesetter you mean.
It won't bolt up right to 99-2001 Tiburons, you'll have to get an extra extension done. Also, it's only 2.25 inches, and the muffler looks like shit.
I'd love tos ee someone pick one up and actually try it for a few years, as it's one of the only exhausts left for us, but the folks that had it back in the Hyundaiaftermarket days didn't like it, and said it rusted VERY easily.
A simple resonator will fix all of your sound issues, so the aluminized steel won't have sound problems if you put one in.

Redz, you're right about the Pacesetter sounding junky. I have one, and have chopped off the stock muffler and replaced it with a Dynomax Super Turbo when the cops started riding my tail all day.
On-topic: Monroe has always tried to screw me over whenever I'm in there. They messed up installing a flex pipe, and other minor work. The only thing they have done correctly is install a bulb (inspection).
