Default Glass polishing

Howdy. My windshield has scratch marks that appear to have been made when someone operated the wipers on a dry dirty window. The glass is not actually scratched (at least I can't feel anything) but the marks from the path of the wiper are thick enough to affect vision through the glass. And of course it is mostly on the driver side. I've tried cleaning with a couple home remedies.

Can this be repaired, i.e. polished out, or is there a new windshield in my future?

Thanks

Unless it is very deep, almost any scratch can be repaired. If a quick polish with something like Novus #1 won't get it, I would probably head straight to a glazier.

I bet what you are seeing is a build up of wax from those hot wax car washers.

I use some Bonami glass polish before I do a rainX application.
