GK Owners can you tell the difference
Without looking inside or under the hood, can you tell if a GK is either a 4 cylinder or 6 if the emblems are shaved off and only looking at the exterior?

No, I can't. I can tell the SE from the rest, but as best as I can tell they're externally identical on everything but the SE. I think the stock 16" wheels are also I4 only, but I'm not 100% on that.
Like Wytch said. The GT (V6) and SE (V6) wheels are better than the GS (I4), and if it has a high spoiler its a V6 (but not all V6's have high spoilers, only the SE does).
Are there any i4 with a manual transmission?
There might be a slight difference in ride height, depending on the weight of the V6 and i4. I know other vehicles are easy to tell just on fender gap, but I don't think it's as noticeable on a GK. An i4 should theoretically have more fender gap

There are manual I4 GK's.
The springs are different, so ride height is the same.
SE springs are also different, but I don't think lower.

There were three different spring ratios offered in the later GK's.
From the factory yes, but sometimes the dealer will put the 17's on because they have extras or other reasons like customer preference. I don't think there is any way to actually tell from the outside.
If it has stock nicer wheels and a high wing it is probably a v6, but I do not think that is 100%

Not sure on American models, but with European models if its a 1.6 L4 it only has 1 tailpipe, aside from that the only difference between a V6 and 2.0 in Europe is the wheels, and like you over here many fit V6 wheels to 1.6/2.0s anyway. If its a manual and you get close enough to see the gearstick through the window then the V6 will have an extra gear marked on it though.
