Ok, so I started my car today and it kind of puttered and then died. It did this twice. So the third time I started it and put my foot on the gas a few times and it finally started and kept going. It hasn't done it since then. Its a 2001 with 44k miles. Does anyone have any clue as to what might be the problem?
Hmm,.. Could be a whole bunch of different factors.
but I'm glad for you that it does'nt 'putter" anymore wink1.gif
do you normaly wait 'till the gas gauge is on Empty before you fill it up?
Just wondering if you had some junk in the bottom of your tank, and maybe was screwing with your fuel filter?
but who knows. Glad things are okay though smile.gif

1. Do you ever use fuel injector Cleaner? Get into a good habit of using B-12 Chemtool ever 4 to 6 tanks of gas, and always at a LOW gas level.
2. Have you ever changed your fuel filter? I'd recommend you do it or get it done, I'm going to have to soon myself, and plan on doing a FULL DIY on it.
3. Plugs? Have you done a tuneup to your plugs and wires lately?
4. Battery? It is still cold out, maybe your battery is suckin?

I was planning on getting new NGK IX Iridium tipped plugs and new NGK Plug Wires soon. I haven't used injector cleaner since I got it, so that may be part of the problem. Battery shouldn't be a problem since it was 50 degrees when it happened. Thanks for the info.
