Default Are the fuel doors on our cars plastic?
As I was filling up with gas today I was checking out my fuel door and never really noticed it until now but they seem to be made out of a hard plastic. Wonder why Hyundai didnt make them the same metal as the rest of the body.

That was the first thing that i noticed when i filled up my Tiburon the first time. Figure, cost cutting, and weight cutting.

Yep, plastic fuel filler door. Also the side mirrors are plastic :unsure:
