Default fan blowing direction - rd1 tib

I noticed that the temp of my rd1 tib was getting too hot too fast so I inspected the car's fans.. turns out that the wiring of the fans just up and burned themselves. I connected them again but the temp still rises way too fast. I now suspect that I got my wires crossed and the fans are blowing in the wrong direction..

Should the fans be blowing towards the outside of the car or should they be blowing inward? I tried to identify if I wired it correctly via wire color but I guess I wasn't able to identify them correctly ( wires were already almost black).. inward blowing fans seem stupid coz that'd be like blowing hot air into the engine bay I think.

Anyone know? Thanks!

Where else is the radiator supposed to get cool air? From beside the hot engine, and force it out against the 70MPH wind through the radiator going down the highway? The fans draw air from the front through to the engine side of the radiator.

OK, so it looks like I got my wires done correctly if that's the case.. looks like I have a different problem then...

What problem is that?

When is the last time you flushed or at least changed your coolant?

i just replaced my coolant yesterday so i know it's topped up properly.

I'm starting to think that my mind's just paranoid that my temp increases at a faster rate after seeing the fan wiring burnt. Temperature increases and keeps steady at the halfway mark. Temp never went over half the meter.

I'm still currently observing it under different situations..

That's normal Just shows the midpoint of the desired temp range.

thanks for the replies everyone!

Temps now running fine. looks like it was faulty fan wiring. i had it serviced in the local mechanic today and the diagnosis was that it was wired wrong. the fan was blowing in the wrong direction. re-wiring was an easy fix and i also had the wires replaced with thicker wiring.
