I have a feel that this has allready been answered but i have been searching for a few days now and can't really get a clear answer.

So anyway I just picked up a set of used OBX headers and a MBRP exhaust from XRGUY. Now I believe that I need to extend the o2 sensor wires or atleast the first one inorder to place it infront of the cat, and place the second one to place it behind the cat.

So I was looking to see if places sold harnesses so that I don't need to cut and resolder the wires. Doing so I found this on Summit Racing

Clicky

could I use something like this or do I need to cut and resolder the wires inorder to extend it.

don't cut the plug wires. that's one mistake i had made really bad. label your wires too. cut the wires from the sensor (5 inches or so) leaving them hanging and extend those using 18 gauge wire you can buy from any car store/advance auto parts. then solder them together as neatly and tightly as possible. use special electric tape (not regular; the one that stretches) from home depot ($8, but worth it).

it's best to secure the wire from water, but i didn't secure mine knowing i did a hell of a job using that special electric tape. i tucked it under the metal part of the underbody and it's been there ever since.

Ok sounds good. I'll try that, so your suggesting using stechable electal tape instead of using shrink wrap over the solder point?

yeah, you know what i'm talking about? it's not regular plasticly electric tape you can buy anywhere. it's water resist and is very thick, very stretch, and very very rubbery. it should hold for a long, long time. i'd also secure it with some shrink wrap afterwards just to be on the safe side.

make sure you get the right kind, there are a lot of electrical tape out there that you could mistake it for. good luck, and please show pictures if you want any help. it would help us help you.

yeah i ought to look those harness' up. but i doubt they have one with a plug for our cars... call them up!

it's that silicone tape! be sure to stretch it enough for a watertight seal to form. this stuff is water resist as well as temp resist.

They should, our sensor is pretty much universal from what I've been told.

How bout on ebay?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Plug-in-Har...sspagenameZWD1V

Java said that looks identical to ours on both sides.

I've been looking around, check this out.

If anyone can show me a pic of what the OEM O2 sensor connections look like, I'll find us one.

This will be AWESOME.

I asked Viper, he checked out this thread and said the Honda/Acura ones are identical.
