well i recently picked up a 97 tib. pulls real hard, harder than my xd. im told it runs 16.3(at 5800 above sea level). but i want more in the way of n.a. out of the tib. i already have an airram on the way. got a gtr BBTB on it. i would like the input from you guys on the way you think i should go with an exhaust. not just cat back but headers as well. oh ya dont worry a fuel tuner is greatly neaded do to the mods already in place. with a lil tlc this tib should be my lil monster.

SSA works as good as any. Its the cheapest too. Some sound really nice, some sound like shit. The only thing you wont get is a name brand if your looking for one

Personally I'm looking at getting the SSAutochrome header, then redoing the welds if they are bad and the o2 sensor locations to make it better than it is. The prices jumped up on KSpec's site for the Racing Headers, and to hell if I'm paying $499 for headers for a daily driven I4. Maybe Redz can give us some insight as to why the prices went up, considering the turbo manifolds, which were $399 also, stayed the same.

As for the exhaust, as I always say, go custom. Or you could go with SSAutochrome or ARK. ARK is really quiet, I was surprised.

Won - Dollar ratio is way off, so we pay more. When I was in Korea it was 1280 Won to the Dollar.

Now it's at about 1030 won to the dollar.

It's listed on the site that prices will be fluctuating some due to unstable currency rates.

I am thinking this summer I am finally going to get my header on. Only been sitting in the garage since the group buy.

I think your best bet, is to take the whole thing to a shop and have it done at once from front to back. Headers, cat, exhaust. This way the entire system fits, and it winds up designed to fit together under the car.

i have an 01 tiburon. does anyone know who makes a catback besides hyundaiperformance, importshark and stuff like that. the main reason i ask is because ive been to a few muffler shops (midas, meineke, etc.) and they all said if i do custom piping at 2.5" and skip the resonator but still replace the cat with a high flow one that there will be too much pull on the gasses and it will suck fuel into my pipes and cause the computer to inject less fuel when i put it at full throttle. any suggestions or maybe you guys can tell me how this really works?

Apexi makes a catback for the Tib, the best one yet in my opinion.

Friggin morons.

LOL

Welcome to the site mang.

Basicly, the more power you make the more gasses you need to expel. Getting them out as fast as possible while keeping up a minimal amount of backpressure is what you are after. 2.5 is the most you wanna go for N/A applications, 3 is the most you'd want to go with turbo applications for the tib.
