Ok when I got my tib I put a magnaflow on it single out dual tips. Enlarged my pipes to 2 inch from the 2nd cat back. The other day I got a set of headers and a down pipe that were on a Elantra. I was told they would work ok on my tib. So i put them on and when I drove my car it was louder the h*ll. It also had a rattle or buzz sound in the higher rpm. I talk to a guy at a muffler shop and he said that I needed a resinator. What do you guys think.

Okay first of all. I don't know what muffler shop you got that 2" pipe from but its not much of an upgrade for you.

1. It's probably not mandrel bent
2. It's probably not even SS
3. I would of went with 2.5" or 2.25". 2" Isn't much of an upgrade.
4. Go to ebay, search Motoria catback and buy it. You can ussually get it from importshark.com but its out of stock
5. Buy a Thrush Glasspack anything 35" and shorter will work. That will reduce the noise.
6. Click here about all your exhaust needs.

Than your all set.

I think you need to buy a full cat-back. 2.25", stainless steel, mandrel bent, with a 35" glasspack, hi-flow cat, and the muffler you already have.
that's pretty much the only way to keep it legal, improve performance, and reduce the noise.
you really need to do them all..

aw man, there are no more motorias. no exhausts for us that we can easily get. yamaneko is supposed to make one for us but i think some of us scared him off, especially me.

you should get a glasspack 28'' and a high flow cat in front of it. 2.5 piping i'd recommend. take it to midas or something well known. meineke too but depends on the people working there.

how are your O2 sensors? i extended mine but i'm having some problems right now and i'm not confindent about giving you advice on that.

im sure one of the other guys could explain a lil better but basically

* the high flow cat - keep ya legal
* glass pack - adds filitration to the exhaust to quiet it down.
* header and muffler - help your motor breath easier (im sure you knew this allready thought)

but i think that should answer you question. i know yall have somethin to add to this.
