Exausth Info !

i recently bought a racespex axel back exausth from

my car is pretty stock. Stock exausth manifold with the horizontal cat... i only have a k&N drop in and removed the resonator from stock intake.....
everything is going well i like the sound pretty much !!
But funny thing is happening.... the exausth come with a silencer that you screw in place.... and the car seems to be more torky trought out the whole power band with the silencer on it then without it.......
i've tried without the silencer and the car felled like having less tork and power :S
is this normal ? would it be because of my car not having headers and everything else... ?
and another thing without the silencer the car make more noise when i'm driving on low load and low rpm like 2000-3500 after 4000 to the end. It make less noise then at 2000-3000 rpm what's the point of that ? is it because of the "Big chamber" when air is passing slowly it echo more so it give a big loud low tone sound at those rpm ?
where i'm going with this... well i was wondering if a smaller chamber like those magnaflow 4" round mufler wouldn't sound as loud at low rpm then say those with a 5-6-7" chamber ? because frankly it sucks rollling at 120km/h on the highway there is more noise then at 160km/h.....

First off I hope you didnt spend more than 80 bucks on that because it's pretty much pointless. I dont understand how you "feel" the gains from just an axel back. The gains would be 1-2hp which you can't physically feel. It's all in your head.
I would sell what you have on ebay and buy a full cat-back exhaust. Thats where you have the most gains.

the power you 'feel' is in your head.. your brain is telling you since its louder, that its more powerful, lol.. you wouldn't be able to feel the power gain from that..
how much did you pay shipped for that axle back system.

well i bought it because it was bolt-on basicly and the oem mufler was going out.... there was a lot of buzzing coming from it and sometimes it was clocking almost completly
so it wasn't really for the gain just to have something that wouldn't degrade itself from the inside....
so compare to the oem i feel the car as a bit more tork didn't said a lot more but a bit more with the silencer in.... when i remove it .... it make a lot of noise and the car feel slow :S that i think is pretty weird....
for changing it i'm thinking about is yes but like i said i really don't like those mufler that make a big low tone sound at low rpm so what i was wondering is if would something like those magnaflow 4" round mufler make less of that loud low tone noise at low rpm since the chamber would be smaller.... then say a 5-6-7" round or those big oval mufler
i don't care about the wot noise it is the low load low speed noise that i find anoying
whitout the silencer i make more noise than my freinds stang GT 99 wich as no cat.... and twin 3.5" tip when where rolling like 70km/h and that is stupid....

i didn't bought from them it's that exact same mufler i bought from a guy in montreal who have a tib....
i don't care about the price the gain or the absence of gain.....
i think you've all readed me wrong....
what i wanna know is.... would there be out there a mufler that won't give that big crappy low tone sound they all give and that they all say every body likes ....
no one will make me beleve it's normal to make more noise cruising at 45mph 2000-3000rpm than in pure acceleration at 6000rpm....... i find that anoying....
so what i'm asking is.... is there a mufler that won't echo that much at low speed and low load the rest when i'm at wot i don't fuking care.... the problem is the freaking ....
