Default Is Engine in Tiburon suppose to move?

Today I let my mom to press gas pedal hard while I was checking the newly installed CAI. The problem is that, whenver she pressed gas pedal hard, my Tibby's engine, TB, and CAI moved backward (toward driver) then returned to the original position. I was wondering if this is normal for the car.

Engine movement under throttle and in neutral or park depending on your tranny is normal. It is the tourque of the engine wanting to move something. With massive power increases, like a turbo, you would want to have your motor mounts replaced with something like urethane bushings. That has been discussed before but sadly no one makes them for or cars.

ur engine will also move a lil bit because of the force of the pistons moving, that inertia has to effect someting

tongue.gif It's either one of the above or another of the above, but it could be simply that your front and rear engine mountings are SPOIL!

Ah Random, thats good news, I've been thinking a lotlately about needing some poly engine mounts - any thoughts on gear box mounts?

If the engine is moving around less I can get the strut bar moved down a bit.

The Poly will be for Tiburon and Elantra Suspension, and Tiburon Engine and 5-Speed Tranny mounts.

Zorro, I'm guessing the suspension bushings WILL fit, but the Motor Mounts and Tranny mounts will probably NOT fit your Right Hand Drive car, but once I get my hands on them I can send you photos and dimentions, and you can try to Eyeball them to see if they will fit your car, it's worth a shot
