Empty tank of gas vs. full
Hrm.. So ive been the only driver of my tib till recently.. I always noticed that when the tank is full, the car runs noticeably stronger than if it has 1/4 tank or less.. I thought it was just me, but my wife who has driven it around for a couple weeks now said the same thing.. Theory would say that it would run better w/ less gas because of less weight.. Anyone else know what im talking about or have this issue?

Mine runs better when it's at 2/3 of a tank or above. I am pretty sure it's weight distribution.
Odd eh?

I can attest to that!! I went to the track last night and lost everytime to cars I have beated before on the street. (Could've been my driving too!) But I only had a 1/4 tank, I thought it would help me with weight and all that, but it felt sluggish. Almost like it didn't want to be beaten up on.

is it possible that after setting in the tank for a while the gas some how burns less efficiently? I've noticed this as well and have been meaning to only put in a couple gallons when I'm low and see. But then it would probably be hard to come to any results without a dyno of before and after....
I've noticed this same thing too. Just thought I was crazy 8O . Guess not! My guess would be that it has something to do with the fuel pressure. Does anyone who uses a fuel controler (safc or emanage) have this same effect or does the controller fix it?
Im sure everyone has experienced this.....it was a long time ago but i remember this being brought up on HP and the verdict was that it has something to do w/ our returnless fuel systems.

we have return system in our cars....
and the only thing that i can think off is that unburnt fuel that comes back to out tanks has gases in it and its not as clean anymore, but on the other hand my car runs better on E smile.gif
