So, I installed some reverse indiglo gauges about a month ago. When I pulled off the dash yesterday to paint it, the gauges stopped working. I re-attached the wiring, made sure the black wire from the gauges atttached to the black wire to the dimmer switch, and the red wire connected to the green/white. Well, now the gauges only work with the activation of my alarm, with the parking lights, and tail lights. So its not the gauges.

The other thing I noticed is the other lights in my dash (ac, blower, hazard) are not working when I turn the lights on either. Could it be the dimmer switch itself? I believe it is called the Rheostat Switch. Can you get one for less than 60 bucks?

Any help would be much appreciated

^^^ yeah what he said.

Normal power is routed from fuse box to the dimmer switch to the gauges/switches/heater illumination

alarm power is routed around it.
