After having my ass thoroughly whipped by the weird cabling requirements of the ostrich, and failing multiple times in the stolen hours of sleep to wire up a plcc32 to 34 pin IDC connector adapter, I have broken down and bought the proper "off the shelf" cables...
So that's $41.25 for the dip32 to plcc32 adapter, and $12.00 for the official moates cable.
I now know why people put up with high mark-up prices, it literally cost me more money in time doing it myself and failing, than it did to take that hit to the cheque book...
I do have some good news though, I have a 2000 Elantra ECU tune, and it's almost bit-for-bit the same as a 2000 Tib tune. Only a few areas have been changed, so I'm investigating those closely.
Keith, where are you located?

Sounds like a love/hate relationship! Keep up the good work, bro. From a fellow member to another I have no problem in helping out. If you would like I'll go half on what you paid for on the cables you had to purchase!

I'm quite interested in the difference in tunes between the elantra and tiburon computers. Are these in the maps, or are they in other, perhaps emissions related, areas of the ecu?

As of now, it loks like the elantra one skips some segments of code, and has a map or two slightly changed.
I'll have all of it up online soon, just need to get it all organized.
